When your company lands on its purpose, everything grows, and what matters most comes into focus: legacy, culture, service, what makes you different, and social impact.

A clear purpose can be embodied by everyone and engage everyone that you, your team and your products touch.

Three Phase Process

Discover

Discover your why and claim your purpose. Most businesses have a WHY yet it is not succinctly stated or is buried in strategy documents. Triniti will host a customized series of listening sessions with the CEO, Board, executive team and sometimes, a cross-section of employees to understand the Why of the business. These sessions are offered online or in person.

The Discover phase will encompass:

  • Conversations with the CEO and/or Board Chair to fully understand the company’s desire for impact.

  • Inquiry-based listening sessions.

  • Being transparent about where the company is, and where it wants to go.

  • Diving deep into the company’s culture.

  • Bringing forward current measurements of success and what impact the business is trying to make.

Design

Design your purpose. Triniti will take the listening sessions and feedback to the company on what was heard via 3 to 5 drafts of a succinct purpose statement. This is the energizing piece of the work and it must feel that way … energizing. Words matter and must resonate with internal and external audiences. It is also an appropriate time to test the statements.

In the Design phase, your business will:

  • Design think your way forward through collaborative conversations.

  • Collect the stories which speak directly to your business impact.

  • Connect the dots between where your business has been and where your business is going.

  • Notice the intersectionality of your company story.

Deliberate

Deliberate your purpose. A purpose statement really doesn’t do anything unless it has action behind it. It is key to be deliberate about measurement, behaviours to live the purpose and how to integrate purpose throughout the company. This stage doesn’t end. It is a journey from the declaration of the purpose onwards. It is about deliberating as well as being deliberate.

The Deliberate phase includes:

  • Collaborating with the company’s stakeholders for buy-in.

  • Bringing to the surface, the new behaviours that will be needed to live the purpose.

  • Innovating to embed the purpose into the company.

  • Clarifying what the success indicators will be.

  • Measuring and magnifying the impact

What Happens Now?

The basis of purpose work is understanding what is unique and personal to you and your organization. We begin with a 60-minute complimentary listening session with the Founder, CEO, Board Chair or senior executive team to better understand what your purpose needs are. Triniti will then:

  • Craft a concept proposal based on the specific needs we’ve collectively identified

  • Clarify the specific number and types of connections needed to create the desired outcomes

  • Recommend a client-care approach that meets the rhythm of the business

  • Deliver an itemized scope of purpose work to be completed with key deliverables within an agreed-upon timeline
